Important Announcement

One of my biggest joys is Girl Scout Camp. Every summer I look forward to working with the young girls who will be this country's future leaders and an amazing group of adult volunteers at Wapato Twilight Camp.

The spread of Covid-19 has changed the way we are living. It has caused a lot of delays and cancellations of the things we enjoy in life. It is with a heavy heart and teary eyes that I have to announce that GSWW has canceled ALL summer camp activities for 2020. This includes all camps held at GSWW properties and the volunteer-led camps such as Wapato Twilight Camp. Those of you who have registered will receive a full refund.

What does this mean for the future of Wapato Twilight Camp? I honestly don't know. I am going to need some time to process this news and see where the future takes us. In the meantime, I want the volunteers to know that we could never have had camp without you. I appreciate all of you more than you will ever know. To the Program Aides who worked tirelessly to run units at camp, I can't begin to tell you how proud I am of the growth and maturity you have achieved. With you as our future, I know we will be okay. For the campers and parents, I want to thank you for our continued support. Some of you have been with us through our entire 10-year history and for that we are truly grateful.
