Space is the Place

 

What:  Wapato Twilight Camp is a volunteer-led Girl Scout Camp in Tacoma.

 

When:  July 15th through July 17th of 2019 from 3 to 8 p.m. with an overnight on July 18th from 3 p.m. to July 19th at noon.

 

Where:  Waller Road Grange at 2708 64th Street East in Tacoma.

 

Who: 

  • Campers - Girls in 1st through 6th grades in the fall.
  • Program Aides - Girls in 7th through 12th grade in the fall.

 

Activities: Blast off to the 10th anniversary of Wapato Twilight Camp by travelling through the universe. Space is the Place to launch water rockets, build a spaceship, design a telescope, and search for aliens. Camp overnight on Thursday, July 18th, to gaze at the stars and constellations. Sing songs, play games, and practice your archery skills while enjoying an out of this world week with your Girl Scout sisters.


Cost: 

  • Camper - $100. 
  • Program Aide - $50. (No discount)
  • Early Bird Discount - $10 off camper registrations postmarked by May 25, 2019.

Deadlines: 

  • Program Aide Deadline (registration form and application) - May 11, 2019.
  • Early Bird Discount Deadline (see above) - May 25, 2019.
  • General Registration Deadline - June 15, 2019.

 

Volunteers:  We can't have camp without amazing adult volunteers to lead units and assist with program activities.  A registration rebate is available for the first camper of an adult camp volunteer if attendance expectations are met.  Adult volunteers also receive a camp t-shirt and patch.
